Birgit Wieczorek is a certified yoga teacher with BDY, EYU, and AYA credentials, a mother of two adult children, and a systemic counselor. Professionally, she also works as a nurse supporting people with disabilities. As a young seeker in India, she was captivated by the magic of the East and discovered her deep love for yoga. In 2001, she completed her four-year BDY training with a focus on Sivananda and Iyengar yoga. She later enriched her practice through studies in the “yoga of energy” with Boris Tatzky, as well as Ashtanga and Jivamukti. In 2012, she completed AYA’s 300+ training at Vishnu’s Couch in Cologne. Since 2020, Vipassana meditation has brought greater clarity and presence to her practice. Since 2023, she has been exploring the tantric philosophy of Kashmir Shaivism. Birgit feels grateful for the many teachers and students who accompany her along the way. Her teaching combines experience, precision, and mindfulness. She loves the diversity of the retreat experience—sometimes playful, sometimes strong and dynamic, sometimes calm and inward-looking—and shares yoga as it truly is: an ancient path full of vitality, depth, and wisdom.
