“It is not the person who adapts to yoga, but yoga that adapts to the person.” This devotional attitude shapes my approach, which is rooted in the tradition of T. Krishnamacharya. I always tailor my teaching to each participant’s individual constitution and current needs. Based on this, asanas, pranayama, relaxation exercises, and meditation are designed so that every student feels fully supported, both in the group setting and in their personal practice.
The yoga practice changes according to what is needed: it can be invigorating or gentle, meditative or dynamic. Breathing plays a central role, connecting us on both a physical and mental level while supporting the postures. The class structure follows a clear concept, with different groups of postures taking focus in alternating sequence. At the end of each session, participants can enjoy a deep sense of lightness and inner peace in final relaxation.
I share my experience with great enthusiasm and create an environment of joy in movement, completely free from performance pressure. I am especially fulfilled when I can also spark interest in the wonderful legacy of yoga philosophy, which has enriched my own life in so many ways.
This foundation was laid by Barbara Nagel. With her, I successfully completed the yoga teacher training “The Indian Path” with BDY certification in May 2021. Through my intensive study of source texts such as the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, various advanced trainings, and my own regular yoga practice, I continue to find fresh inspiration.
Yoga means to me: always and everywhere possible, my source of strength for everyday life, and trust in the flow of life.
