Becka’s path into movement began unexpectedly, after she found herself drawn into both a Crossfit gym and a yoga studio. What started as curiosity soon became a transformative experience. As she explored classes at a local studio and gym, she was inspired by the variety, the rhythm, and the way each practice seemed to ebb and flow in its own way. Every class asked something different of her, physically and mentally, and that challenge became unlike anything she had found in other fitness settings.
In class, and long after it ended, she experienced a wide range of sensations: strength, vulnerability, grace, awkwardness, and everything in between. In the middle of that complexity, she became deeply interested in what her body and mind were capable of. Like many people, she had once tried to make her body fit a certain standard. Crossfit and yoga gave her the tools to adapt movement to her own body and skill level, and to celebrate what her body was designed to do.
That growing passion for fitness led her to attend several seminars and earn certifications along the way. Over time, she has continued to evolve as a coach and teacher. She values the chance to share what she has learned, and she remains grateful for every opportunity to learn, connect, and grow with others.
Becka hopes to bring her highest level of teaching and coaching to every student she works with. At Hot Asana, the community feels like an extension of family, and she believes each person’s progress is shared by everyone. She is moved daily by the way this community supports and encourages one another.
One of her favorite parts of teaching and coaching is guiding someone from a beginner’s level and helping them realize that more is possible than they imagined. She is inspired by witnessing how classes can empower, motivate, and uplift those who walk through the door. Becka is committed to helping students explore their physical and mental limits, move safely, and leave feeling accomplished, proud, and eager for more.
