Description

About Autumn Waylan

Autumn Waylan (She/Her/Hers) joined the team in summer 2024, bringing more than 10 years of experience in wildlife handling, along with a background in veterinary clinic operations, animal care, public education, community outreach, and raptor programs. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife & Fisheries from Texas A&M University.

After relocating to Colorado from Texas with her dogs, Indi and Wicket, and her lizard, Yoshi, Autumn is eager to explore her new home and build meaningful connections with the raptor ambassadors. As Full-Time Raptor Rehabilitation Manager, she will develop specialized skills in the rehabilitation of birds of prey while also supporting the Raptor Center Director with administrative duties, animal care and management, and medication and treatment plans.

Autumn is especially excited to share her knowledge with the community through public programs and raptor presentations. Outside of work, she enjoys reading fiction, camping, hiking, spending time with her dogs, and staying connected to nature.
