
Aram Kim is a writer, illustrator, and designer of children’s picture books whose work is shaped by a rich blend of cultures and creative experience. Born in Ohio and raised in South Korea, she now lives in New York, where she enjoys being surrounded by diverse food and culture. For more than a decade, she worked in publishing as a Designer and Art Director while creating her own books in her spare time. In 2025, she transitioned to working full-time as an author-illustrator.
Her books include Cat on the Bus, No Kimchi For Me!, Let’s Go to Taekwondo!, Sunday Funday in Koreatown, the upcoming Baby Cousin’s Big Day, and Tomorrow is New Year’s Day, a story about Korean Lunar New Year. Her work has earned multiple honors, including Junior Library Guild selections, recognition from Bank Street’s Best Children’s Books, and the Mills Tannenbaum Award.
