Annie Carpenter

Annie Carpenter is the creator of SmartFLOW Yoga and a respected Northern California master teacher known as a true “teacher’s teacher.” With more than 45 years of practice behind her, she brings depth, clarity, and a sense of play to every session, weaving together anatomy, evolutionary movement, meditation, and classical philosophy in a way that feels both intelligent and accessible.

Since 2003, she has led 200/500 teacher trainings around the world, supporting instructors in deepening their understanding and refining their teaching. Her approach is rooted in experience and precision, yet always delivered with warmth and ease, creating a learning environment that encourages growth, curiosity, and embodied awareness. She has also shared her teaching through Glo.com, reaching a wide international audience of dedicated yoga practitioners and teachers.
