About Anne Appert
Anne Appert is a queer, nonbinary storyteller whose work blends whimsy, humor, and heart to help readers feel seen as they explore what it means to live authentically. Through playful imagination and a warm creative voice, Anne invites audiences into stories that celebrate individuality and self-discovery.
Anne is the author and illustrator of the picture books BLOB and WHAT IF YOU WISH?, and the forthcoming graphic novel BRIGHT BIRDS ACCORDING TO L. NESS MONSTER. They also illustrated the upcoming chapter book series ZOOMI AND ZOE, written by Corey Ann Haydu.
Alongside creating books for children, Anne teaches at Montclair State University. Outside the classroom and studio, they enjoy dyeing their hair every color of the rainbow, making stickers, and teaching themself how to roller-skate.
