Anna has devoted more than ten years to yoga, building a relationship with the practice that continues to deepen on both physical and philosophical levels. Two years ago, she completed a 500-hour teacher training at Sampoorna, gaining a solid grounding in alignment, sequencing, and mindful teaching. Her path has also taken her through a year of immersive spiritual study and practice across India and Asia.
In Mysore, she practiced Ashtanga yoga under Vijay Kumar, where she strengthened her understanding of traditional methods and the discipline of self-practice. She has also studied Hatha yoga through the teachings of Sivananda while serving in his ashram in Kerala, and for more than five years she has practiced hot yoga with guidance from several teachers. Alongside yoga, Anna has explored meditation in depth, completing several Vipassana courses around the world, attending spiritual retreats in Nepal and Thailand, and studying Zen meditation in China.
Anna aims to live the true philosophy of yoga by bringing its principles into daily life, while also drawing inspiration from Buddhist teachings on mindfulness and compassion. After a year of travel, she returned to Sampoorna as a Karma yogi, where she had the chance to reconnect with teachers and support other students on their journey. She has taught yoga in Sri Lanka and Turkey, and for the past two years has been teaching regularly in Europe. After moving from Spain to Budapest, Hungary, she now teaches in two yoga shalas.
Her classes create a grounded, attentive space where students can explore the physical movement as well as the mental and spiritual dimensions of yoga practice.
