It is a great honor for me to combine more than 20 years of experience in management consulting, coaching, and yoga in my work for NEUE WEGE Retreats.
Anyone who supports others through physical, mental, or emotional crises needs a practice that offers deep grounding in return. For me, that practice is yoga as a mindful path. My loved ones, nature, and simply being are also powerful anchors in my life.
Since 1996, I have supported individuals in their personal development. My academic background includes studies in education, psychology, and sociology in Berlin and Essen.
My yoga path began when I was 26. I first encountered yoga exercises as a child through television. Since 2000, I have been teaching yoga classes and workshops independently.
In 2004, I founded fu-om consulting - coaching - yoga as a “center of mindfulness” in Essen. Since then, I have taught certified yoga classes covered by health insurance at my own school, offered therapeutic one-to-one yoga, and led inspiring yoga travel experiences.
My teaching style combines the precise alignment of Iyengar yoga with the loving guidance of Anusara yoga in the tradition of Doug Keller. At its core lies the energizing, mindful principle of Kashmiri yoga. In that sense, one might even speak of “Anke yoga.”
I have a deep love for new experiences. As a creative body and movement therapist, I bring elements of dance into my life — true to the spirit of: the kitchen is for dancing.
As a coach, I now focus especially on people who want to explore more deeply and for whom spiritual and ethical questions matter.
Since 1996, I have enjoyed regular stays in India. Before that, I traveled through the great civilizations of Central America, Africa, and Asia. Today, I discover the world anew with NEUE WEGE Retreats and with you.
