With more than 20 years of experience, Andrew Faust is recognized as one of North America’s leading permaculture teachers and designers. His engaging curriculum and inspiring talks, including his TEDx lecture, have influenced students, teachers, filmmakers, and wider audiences alike. His work has also helped inspire the film Inhabit and a transformative Permaculture Design Certification course.
In 1999, Andrew developed his own Permaculture PhD project: a fully off-grid straw bale educational center in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. Since relocating to Brooklyn in 2007, he has continued to bring his expertise into the urban environment, applying permaculture principles to city living and sustainable design.
