Biography

With 25 years of practice in the Triratna Buddhist Community, Ananta has been shaped by the guidance and inspiration of many remarkable teachers. He has also spent more than three years on retreat, deepening his practice through extended periods of reflection and transformation. In 2007, he completed ordination training and was ordained as Ananta, meaning “the boundless.”

Teaching Experience

Ananta is a leading teacher with Triratna New York and serves on the Triratna US & Canada Men’s ordination training team. Since 2005, he has been leading meditation sessions and retreats, supporting participants with a grounded and compassionate approach. He is also a certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction teacher through the Mindfulness Center at Brown University, and has studied additional mindfulness approaches focused on pain, teens, emotional regulation, and responding to racism. In addition, he has trained as a yoga teacher with Bodhi Yoga.

Education

He holds degrees in International Relations and Development Studies from the University of Sussex in the UK.
