Ana is a ceramic artist whose practice is shaped by presence, material sensitivity, and the quiet exchange between hand and clay. Since beginning her work in 2018, she has developed a strong connection to wheel throwing, alongside a deep respect for technical precision built through repetition, patience, and care.
Following time spent in studio communities in Manchester, she returned to Portugal, where she now creates small-batch functional ceramics. Her pieces draw inspiration from Portuguese and Japanese pottery traditions, reimagined through a contemporary, organic perspective.
In addition to her studio practice, Ana facilitates clay workshops that place attention, touch, and process above final results. She invites participants into simple making practices that encourage them to slow down, observe closely, and work with intention. By combining structure with openness, she offers a supportive space for people to reconnect with their hands, creativity, and surroundings.
