Since 1989, Amara Karuna has been developing her own integrated approach to peer counseling, known as Holistic Peer Counseling. Her work brings together peer support, spiritual meditation practices, psychic healing, breathwork, and body-centered techniques to create a deeply supportive healing process.
Her studies expanded in 2003 with Tantra and Sacred Spot work in Maui, and she has since trained in six different methods of pelvic bodywork. Since 2007, she has taught Sacred Pelvic Healing Work and led Tantra Pujas, sharing practices that explore intimacy, embodiment, and emotional release in a respectful, guided setting.
Amara is also the author of the pictorial guide “Sacred Pelvic Healing Massage Practice Manual” and offers Yoni and Lingam Massage DVDs for students who wish to continue practicing at home. In addition, she created Heartbeat Nurturing Therapy, a healing method focused on the inner infant self through cradling, hypnotic induction, and suckling, addressing emotional wounds connected to early nurturing needs. She is the author of “Heartbeat Nurturing Therapy- Healing Our Hearts Together“.
