
As Acting Executive Director and a Board Member, Amanda brings a grounded blend of leadership, business acumen, and heartfelt service to Blue Deer Center. Her ability to manage the many moving parts of the present while keeping an eye on long-term vision helps support the center’s future with clarity and purpose. Guided by enthusiasm, spirituality, a strong work ethic, and a genuine love of learning, she is deeply committed to building community.
Volunteering is an important part of Amanda’s personal practice, and as an initiated Firekeeper, she creates ritual space and hosts gatherings that encourage connection and shared presence. She holds a degree in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California, and for more than 15 years she helped lead and grow her family’s transportation business into a thriving company alongside her husband, Alan.
A mother, wife, and grandmother, Amanda’s home is known for its warmth, hospitality, and the welcoming aroma and taste of good food.
