About A.M. Wild
A.M. Wild is a queer, nonbinary children’s book author who sees stories as a space for collective hope, connection, and healing. Through their writing, they invite young readers and the adults who care for them to imagine a more compassionate and affirming world.
Their debut picture book, Not He or She, I'm Me, has received notable recognition, including being named one of the most empowering books of the year by Kirkus in 2023, an American Library Association Stonewall Children’s Honor Book in 2024, and a selection for the Rainbow Book List for best LGBTQIA+ youth books in 2025.
Two new picture books are also forthcoming in 2027: Mama, Zaza, and Me, acquired by Henry Holt Books for Young Readers, and The People’s Beach, acquired by Kokila.
