Founder and chairman of three eponymous brands, Álvaro de Ferranti graduated in 1991 with a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from the University of East London. He leads successful businesses in the interiors and architectural sectors in central London.
Born in London in the early 1970s, Álvaro spent much of his childhood in Portugal and worked in the UK from the late 1980s before recently relocating to Portugal with his wife and two children. After discovering Iboga in 2013 and its potential benefits, he began the challenging process of organising clinical trials with Ibogaine HCL in Portugal.
The full team has now been assembled, including a reputable manufacturer with a solid protocol, a Principal Investigator, CRO, Project Managers, and a first-class clinic. Álvaro also introduced Iboga and Ibogaine to Dr. João Goulão, Portugal’s national drug coordinator and head of SICAD. He is deeply interested in the therapeutic value of Iboga and other entheogens, particularly their role in addressing addiction to harmful substances and behaviours, with a strong emphasis on holistic, consistent, and compassionate aftercare.
