About Ali
Ali Barlow is an Insight Dharma teacher who completed the inaugural four-year Dharma Teacher program at the Insight Meditation Institute. Her teaching is rooted in clear understanding, a deep devotion to the Dharma, and a sincere commitment to service.
Since 2017, she has been mentored in a supporting teacher role by Will James, and over the years she has assisted with many insight meditation retreats. She also leads yatras and helps facilitate a weekly sitting group in Bellingen, offering steady support to her community.
Ali’s meditative path began in 1997 while staying in an ashram in South India. After attending her first insight meditation retreat in 2008, her love for the Buddha Dharma deepened and naturally grew into a life of service, supporting Will James, Tallowwood Sangha, and retreat life for all who attend.
She is also a member of the Tallowwood Sangha Management Committee.
