
Dedicated to fostering a culture of peace in conflict and post-conflict societies, Alexis Havugimana brings a thoughtful and grounded approach to his teaching. A graduate in Conservation Biology from the University of Rwanda, he is also a musician and a teacher of yoga, Qi gong, and Tai chi.
With 7 years of experience teaching yoga, Alexis combines movement, breath, and mindfulness in a way that supports both physical and mental well-being. His personal practice has included a 10-day Vipassana retreat in noble silence, and he is level 1 certified in Breath Body Mind, as well as certified by the Yoga Pura Vida Foundation in Tanzania.
As one of the teachers with the AZAHAR Foundation in Rwanda, Alexis is committed to sharing yoga with his community and believes it can be a powerful tool for social transformation and healing.
