Alana began her yoga path nearly 30 years ago at a community recreation center, where she discovered that yoga offers far more than physical movement alone. Since then, she has explored many styles, while always being drawn back to traditional practice. In 2013, she completed her 200-hour certification with Esperança De Spot in Crescent Park. Her teaching stays close to the classical roots of yoga, with a strong emphasis on Hatha yoga, pranayama, and meditation. Through alignment, breath awareness, and inner stillness, she creates a grounded space for students to deepen their practice. Alana believes in a mindful approach that supports both body and mind, helping students cultivate balance, self-awareness, and calm. She is also certified in Ropes yoga with Nalin Mann at Kevala Yoga, and uses this supportive tool to enrich asana practice safely and with care. Off the mat, she draws inspiration from nature, gardening, her animals, and time with family and friends.
