Therapist
My therapy work is always tailored to the individual, with an ongoing focus on creating a safe space that allows time and room to meet and hold the whole of you. In our sessions, I will gently yet persistently challenge you and help identify the ways you have protected yourself, so we can look beyond the armor together. By understanding and demystifying what your system reacts to and why, we can make space for all of you — including your emotions, needs, boundaries, and longings.
In therapy, the body is central: as an indicator of inner states, a container for life’s memories, and a source of genuine healing. My approach is experiential and body-based, meaning we work from your inner, present-moment experience rather than only talking about it. I believe sustainable healing happens when therapeutic work is grounded in the body and emotions, and mentally experienced and integrated.
During the first session, we will explore what you are looking for in a therapeutic process, your needs, and whether I am the right match for you. My method is relational and holistic, with a particular emphasis on psychodynamic, trauma-informed, and mindfulness-based approaches. I have specialized in well-being, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and confidence, anger management, relational challenges, trauma, stress, ADHD, and personality disorders.
I am a licensed psychologist with additional training and courses in dynamic therapy (ISTDP), trauma treatment, the nervous system, mentalization-based therapy, educational psychology, learning, psychopathology, diagnostics, and supervision. Alongside psychology, I have trained in yin yoga and breathwork.
My curiosity about the whole person has led me to work in educational psychology and counseling (PPR), the prison service (Herstedvester Prison), and with children and young people in care. Today, I work as a private-practice psychologist, supervisor, and teacher.
