The Reef House Adults Retreat

Our History

Rich in history, The Reef House was one of the first Palm Cove properties built in 1958. ‘Reef House’ was operated by Brigadier Thomson as a private residence where visitors were treated as personal guests.

Many of the traditions carry on to this day including the Brigadier’s Honesty Bar and twilight canapes & punch hosted by our General Manager.

Palm Cove

Palm Cove Village, where the rainforest meets the sea, is one of Australia’s most beautiful settings with its long white sand beach, ancient Melaleuca trees, swaying palms and tropical skies.  

The Reef House is perfectly situated in the heart of Palm Cove on the beachfront in close proximity to an array of restaurants and cafes, boutique shops, water sports and more. 

Located just 25 minutes North of Cairns Airport, Palm Cove is the perfect base for exploring Tropical North Queensland.
