St. Guest House of Benedict Monastery

Palendrių Monastery of St. Benedict is located in the village of Palendrių, Kelme district. The search for a site for the new monastery covered the whole of Lithuania, but the wonderful monumental nature (the lofty hills leading to the Samogitian Highlands, the high sky, the Vainagi forests stretching as far as the Kurtuvėnai Mountains) and the old abbey of Fr. K. Ambrozaicis' church - the Oratory, determined the choice of the monastery's location.
