This charming cottage in Golden, BC offers a quiet, private retreat setting with its own separate driveway at 2121 Blaeberry Rd. Positioned on the edge of the cliff above the Blaeberry River, it enjoys beautiful views of the river and valley. The path to the Labyrinth is just outside the back door, adding to the peaceful atmosphere.
As the oldest cottage on the property, it was originally built in 1988 and has been renovated and updated many times over the years. Inside, you’ll find a spacious main living and dining area with comfortable couches and a wood stove, creating a cozy place to gather and unwind.
The fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need for your stay, including a fridge, stove, and all cooking and eating equipment. The cottage has three bedrooms: two with queen beds, plus an outside back bedroom that can also be used and features a double bed. There is also a bathroom, a shower room, and one pull-out futon couch.
Step outside onto the large deck, where patio furniture and fantastic views of the Blaeberry River make it an ideal spot to relax. This is the only cottage on the property with an outdoor fire pit. Guests also have access to the hot tub at the main lodge between 9am and 9pm.
Please note that there is no TV or phone in the cottage, though a phone is available at the office if needed. Some cell phones may work on the property. Internet is available in this cottage through its own direct line, and it is on from 5am to 11pm MST.
All cottage rentals include private baths and fully equipped kitchens with tea, coffee, sugar, spices, a blender, coffee maker, toaster, and organic eggs from our chickens. Comfortable bedding, including linens and duvets, as well as towels, are provided. This is an ideal place for a personal retreat.

This handcrafted log cottage in Golden, British Columbia offers a warm and welcoming setting for a retreat in the Rocky Mountains. With five bedrooms and two bathrooms, it is an excellent choice for families and friends, while also feeling cozy and comfortable for a solo traveler or a couple.
Built from Rocky Mountain Douglas Fir, the log construction on the main floor creates a rich rustic atmosphere. Upstairs, beautiful fir siding adds to the character of the space, and low windows were designed to frame scenic views from several of the beds. The kitchen and living room provide a generous gathering area, complete with a radiant-heat wood stove. A well-stocked wood pile is located at the back of the cottage.
Brand new for 2025, a front porch has been added to blend naturally with the log structure and give guests extra space for coming and going. The balconies offer lovely views of the Blaeberry River valley and the mountains beyond, and patio furniture is available on both the lower and upper decks.
Guests staying in the cottage also have access to the hot tub at the Main Lodge between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM MST. Wireless internet is available for those who need to stay connected at the office, and an emergency phone is provided there as well in case a cell phone does not work. Please note that there is no TV or phone in this accommodation—only books.

Set on the top floor in a deeply peaceful riverside setting, this sacred cabin offers a quiet space for couples or solo travelers looking to step away from daily life and into reflection. It is an inspiring place to journal, practice yoga, or spend time in meditation, surrounded by special energies and located right beside the Sweat Lodge. The hosts hold this room in very high regard, and it is especially suited to guests who wish to immerse themselves in healing energy and stillness.
This loft-style room features one 3/4-size double bed. Guests over 6 feet tall are advised to consider a different accommodation. Beautiful windows and a skylight above the bed bring in natural light, while the sliding patio door opens onto a balcony with views of the river and surrounding mountains. Outside, guests will also find a massage table on the deck, along with patio chairs and a small table.
Comfortable bedding, linens, towels, and candles are provided for restful evenings. Solar lights offer basic illumination in the room. Please note that this is a simple, self-sufficient cabin with no heat or running water inside, and water is supplied in a jug. Guests should be prepared for a true camping-style stay.
A shared cooking area is located nearby and is used together with Teepee guests. It includes a 2-burner propane stove, sink with hot and cold water, bear cache, and kitchen utensils, plates, and pots. Guests who need to keep food cold should bring a cooler; freezer packs are available at the office. Food should be stored in the car, the River Room, or the food cache during the night and whenever guests are away for the day. A hot water on demand outdoor shower is located behind the kitchen shelter, and towels are provided.
This property is located in a wilderness and mountain environment, so wildlife may include spiders, squirrels, deer, and occasional bears. Guests will be briefed on camping guidelines for Bear Country. The kitchen area must stay clean and tidy at all times, with no food, recycling, or garbage left outside. The hosts have never experienced bear problems thanks to careful management.
Wireless Internet is available at the Office from 8am to 9pm. An emergency phone is on site, and cell service may or may not work. Items can be charged at the office. The hot tub is available to River Room guests only when booking a massage.
The parking area for River Room guests is approximately 100ft (30m) away and is only suitable for 4x4 or AWD vehicles, with no exceptions. Guests should be ready to carry their gear this distance. If a vehicle is not suitable for the road, parking is available in the lodge parking area an additional 100ft away above the bank overlooking the Blaeberry River. A wheelbarrow can be provided for hauling gear.
This is a camping experience, and guests are encouraged to arrive early, before nightfall. The River Room is strictly no pets, no alcohol, and no smokers or smoking. Peace and quiet are essential here.
