Live and breathe yoga for six transformative weeks in a vibrant community setting on an eco-farm between Byron Bay and the Gold Coast in Northern NSW, Australia.
Next course: 12 October - 20 November 2026
If you are seeking a meaningful escape that supports your personal practice and invites you into authentic yogic living, this immersion is designed for you. The Krishna Village 6-week Teacher Training Immersion teaches yoga as a complete way of life, encouraging you to be a yogi rather than simply do yoga.
Your 6-Week Yoga Vacation
During your stay, you will explore the science of yoga in a holistic way, with teachings that include postures and philosophy, meditation and mindfulness, kirtan, yoga anatomy and physiology, nutrition, and Ayurveda. All of this takes place while you live and breathe the spirit of Bhakti.
Daily Vinyasa Flow classes are part of the experience, with a strong focus on correct alignment. Mornings are gentle, while afternoons bring a more energetic pace.
Because this is an Immersion Retreat, you will not be required to complete assessments, seva work, class preparation, or teaching commitments. That means more time to read, rest, connect, and explore the beautiful Tweed region, including Mt. Warning and the nearby beaches.
How this differs from regular Yoga Teacher Training
If you later decide you would like certification, let the team know by the end of week 1 at the latest. Accommodation may or may not be available for that change, so if you are unsure, it is better to book as a trainee and switch to the retreat option later if needed.
Pricing and discounts
The Immersion Retreat rate is slightly lower than the regular YTT rate. You receive the same classes and accommodation, but without assessments. A $600 discount is applied when you book.
Additional discount: book 6+ weeks in advance and save $200 off the rates below.
Accommodation options include a commuter rate, camping, budget and higher-end shared or single rooms, as well as cabins. All pricing includes the training fee plus 3 meals per day.
Location and accommodation
Krishna Village is set on a beautiful organic farm in the scenic foothills of Mt. Warning, halfway between Byron Bay and the Gold Coast. The nearest town is Murwillumbah, and the closest airport is Coolangatta, the Gold Coast airport.
The retreat centre is spread across a natural farm landscape, so some facilities and accommodation require a bit of walking. Options range from camping spots and creatively renovated container rooms to private pine cabins overlooking the valley.
Meals and lifestyle
You will be served three delicious vegetarian meals each day, from vegan kitchari, porridge, and fresh fruit for breakfast to vegetable curry with rice or flatbreads, plus heartier lunch and dinner dishes. If you have specific dietary needs, you are welcome to use the Krishna Village kitchen to prepare your own meals.
Program schedule
The Welcome Tour begins on Monday at 11am. Graduation takes place on the last Thursday of the course, giving you one final evening to celebrate with fellow trainees. Check-out is on Friday at 9am.

Lila Kirtana began her yoga path in 2000, and over time the practice gently opened into a deeper call toward a more conscious, devotional way of living.
