The yoga asanas included in this program are selected with spine mobility and overall joint health in mind.
Students are guided step by step through the postures, with attention to functional movement and how the joints work together.
As Patanjali teaches, pranayama is the foundation of concentration. With this in mind, the program offers a detailed introduction to the potential of prana and the benefits it can bring.
Students are gently taught Ujjayi breath, alternate nostril breath, and cleansing kriyas. The relationship between breath and accessory muscles is also explained, along with how to use different areas of the lungs.
During the first two days, students learn concentration techniques. The remaining days are devoted to deepening that focus and moving toward spontaneous states of dhyana.
