Your opportunity for a holistic reset, far away from everyday stress.
If you are longing for time out from a busy routine and want to build sustainable, healthy habits that help you feel at home in your body again and strengthen your mind, this Yoga-Detox-Retreat with hiking is the perfect choice.
During this retreat, you can look forward to deep relaxation for body, mind, and soul. The combination of yoga, meditation, hiking, and relaxation sessions, complemented by different detox fasting methods, offers valuable inspiration for navigating everyday challenges. Take an active role in shaping your well-being and feel the difference for yourself.
You are free to choose your preferred fasting method. You may opt for the classic detox fasting program according to Dr. Buchinger, a liquid-only approach with juices, broths, teas, and water. Or you can choose detox vegan alkaline fasting, which is combined with intermittent fasting — a conscious 16-hour break from eating.
Of course, the methods can be adapted to how you feel. Switching, changing, or leaving out elements is possible at any time. Depending on the chosen method, additional snacks between meals may also be included if you need them.
Fasting for a week or longer — or eating only alkaline foods — while staying active is not only possible, but recommended. Long hours of sitting and little movement combined with regular food intake can place strain on the body. In contrast, our system responds much better in the long term to a combination of movement and reduced food intake. This also reflects the way our ancestors lived.
We practice different yoga styles such as Hatha Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Sukshma Vyayama. Yoga sees the person as a whole and includes body and breath exercises as well as meditation. The Heart Chakra Meditation is a special practice that combines movement to meditative music with a period of rest afterward. The exact styles depend on the offering of our experienced yoga teachers.
Depending on the location, you may enjoy soothing massages that support the detox process and encourage deep relaxation. Spacious sauna areas invite you to bring body and mind into balance. At some venues, additional saunas and swimming pools are also located nearby.
The retreat begins at 4:30 p.m. on arrival day and ends at 12:00 p.m. on departure day. You shape your time according to the motto: everything is possible, nothing is mandatory. Free mornings and afternoons invite you to rest, go on excursions, book massages, or visit the swimming pool.

You will stay at the Rosa Flesch Conference Center, in the former rooms of the sisters, surrounded by traditional monastery walls. The rooms are modern, yet their simple elegance preserves the monastery’s tradition. Each room has a private bathroom with shower and toilet, as well as TV and Wi-Fi. Rooms facing the front offer wide views over the Wied Valley, while rooms at the back look out onto the quiet monastery garden.
By car: Use your navigation system and drive up the monastery hill along Margaretha-Flesch-Straße to the rear parking area. From there, the entrance to the conference house is clearly visible.
By train: Waldbreitbach does not have its own train station. The best option is to travel via Neuwied, then take the bus to the “Hausen Brücke” stop. The uphill walk to the monastery with luggage is demanding, so we recommend taking a taxi from there (approx. 2 km). Alternatively, you can travel via Bad Hönningen and take a taxi from there to Kloster Waldbreitbach (approx. 12 km).
