There is a special kind of stillness that emerges where open prairie meets the Rocky Mountains.
The horizon feels wider. The rhythm of life softens. Even the night sky seems to glow a little more brightly.
This intimate four-day, three-night retreat is designed as an invitation to step away from the noise of daily life and return inward. Hosted in the quiet countryside of Mountain View, Alberta, at Rocky Ridge Country Lodge, it brings together movement, nourishment, self-discovery, nature and deep rest in a small group of no more than 12 guests.
Throughout the weekend, there will be meaningful experiences woven into each day, along with generous space to simply be. Sit outside with tea. Read. Journal. Walk. Connect. Gather around the fire. Or do nothing at all.
Sometimes the most profound shifts happen when we become quiet enough to hear ourselves again.

Rocky Ridge Country Lodge | Mountain View, Alberta | Just 20 minutes from Waterton National Park
Set in the peaceful countryside of Southern Alberta, near the hamlet of Mountain View and only about 20 minutes from Waterton National Park, this retreat offers a landscape shaped by contrast and beauty. Prairie stretches into the distance while the Rocky Mountain peaks rise beyond it.
Rather than the energy of a resort town, guests will experience the calm of a country lodge, where mornings unfold slowly, meals are shared together and evenings end around the fire beneath the open Alberta sky. Here, the setting is part of the retreat itself.
* Because this experience is limited to only 12 guests, accommodation options are available on a first-reserved basis. See reservation details.
A private room with a queen bed offers a quiet personal space to return to throughout the weekend. This option is ideal for guests who value having their own room at the end of the day.
This option is well suited to friends travelling together or guests who appreciate the balance of connection and affordability in shared accommodation.
The loft rooms offer a thoughtful blend of shared and private space. Each includes a lower-level queen bed and an upper-level queen bed, with the upper sleeping area reached by a sturdy attached pine ladder. The separate levels create a sense of privacy even within a shared room. Each loft room also includes a private bathroom.
Shared accommodation with individual single beds. This is the most affordable option and is ideal for friends attending together or anyone comfortable sharing their retreat space.
You do not need to be an experienced yogi. You do not need to understand astrology. You do not need to know what a Gene Key is.
You only need a sense of curiosity about yourself.
Perhaps you are in a season of change. Perhaps you have been caring for everything around you and are longing for a few days to turn inward. Or perhaps nothing is wrong at all.
Maybe you simply want four beautiful days of nourishing food, movement, learning, firelight, mountain views and the relief of having nowhere else you need to be.
This retreat offers depth without heaviness, spirituality without rigidity, movement without performance and rest without guilt.
Every meal will be personally prepared by Sandy using whole-food, plant-based ingredients chosen for nourishment, flavour and optimal nutritional benefit. Expect colourful, abundant meals centered on vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, herbs, seeds, nuts and other nutrient-dense plant foods.
The intention is simple: food that leaves you feeling nourished, satisfied and energized for all that the retreat holds. From morning nourishment to shared dinners, each meal reflects the retreat philosophy of caring for the body that carries you through life.
All retreat meals are included.
At the heart of this retreat is an exploration of who you are beneath the roles, expectations and conditioning gathered along the way. Ancient yogic philosophy, astrology, the Gene Keys and intuitive practices come together to offer several different lenses for self-understanding.
A central teaching will connect the Yamas of Yoga with astrological archetypes, exploring themes such as:
Through astrology and the Gene Keys, these universal teachings will be explored as they may appear differently within each of us. The intention is not to become someone new, but to understand yourself deeply enough to live more fully as who you already are.
Mornings will begin with mindful yoga designed to awaken the body, circulate energy and prepare you for the day. Expect accessible movement, breath, awareness and moments of stillness rather than performance or perfection.
As evening arrives, the pace shifts toward softness and rest. Gentle Yin practices will prepare the body for guided Yoga Nidra accompanied by the resonance of singing bowls, creating an intentional transition into deep relaxation.
Experiential workshops will use astrology and the Gene Keys as tools for deeper self-understanding and self-love. Explore patterns, gifts, shadows, relationships with yourself and the places where life may be inviting growth. No prior knowledge is required.
Practical tools for everyday life will be woven throughout the weekend, including breathwork, mindful movement, grounding practices, sound, nature and nervous system regulation techniques.
Hands-on time with plants will invite you to learn about selected herbs and their traditional uses while creating something to take home. Herbalism becomes a way of reconnecting with nature through relationship, not just information.
Through meditation, journaling, contemplation and intuitive exercises, you will be invited to listen inwardly and trust the quieter voice within.
Herbal teas and nourishing elixirs will flow throughout the days, offering a warm ritual to hold while gathering, reflecting, talking or simply looking toward the mountains.
Evenings will close around the fire with warmth, conversation, connection and the expansive Alberta sky overhead. Sit by the flames, share stories or simply enjoy the quiet.
There will also be times when nothing is scheduled. Those pauses are intentional.
