Louis will guide you on unforgettable adventures to discover up to five waterfalls.
These tours include easy to moderate hikes that lead you across rocky beaches, past crystal-clear mountain pools, and through lush forest landscapes.
(4×4 drive and 9km easy to moderate hike)
Start early with breakfast, then be ready by 08h00 for a two-hour scenic 4×4 drive to the starting point at Luphatana in an open safari Landcruiser.
Along the way, the journey itself becomes part of the experience, with friendly local faces, the dense Goso Forest, colourful huts, the Magwa Tea Estate, Angel Falls, and sweeping open spaces.
This 4.5km relatively flat walk beside the rocky shoreline takes about an hour and includes rest stops along the way as you make your way to Waterfall Bluff.
Luphatana is well known for the powerful waves that crash against the rocks, sometimes rising as high as 30m into the air. It is a truly spectacular sight.
At Waterfall Bluff, there is an hour to relax, enjoy lunch, take in the views, kick off your shoes, capture plenty of photos, and perhaps even enjoy a shower beneath the falls.
The quiet intensity of the place can be felt.
On the return journey, you will stop at the “Tea Room”, a sea cave hidden beneath the footpath to the falls.
Back at the Landcruiser, the 4×4 drive continues out.
After that come Angel Falls, the Magwa Tea Estate, and the dense Goso Forest.
Once back at “Louis at Magwa Falls”, you can enjoy a warm shower. A warm, crackling campfire will be waiting for you.
