For the Maya, cenotes were considered gateways to the underworld and the unconscious. In this sacred setting, you will practice yoga or meditation surrounded by the magic of crystal-clear healing waters and cave landscapes.
You will be picked up at the meeting point and taken to a truly beautiful cenote, far from the crowds, so you can experience a deep connection with yourself and with nature.
During the drive, we will have time to get to know each other, and I will explain the flow of the experience. I will also share more about these remarkable underground rivers, the link we can create with our unconscious, and why reconnecting with nature matters so much.
Upon entering the cenote, we will ask permission from the guardians of the place as a sign of respect for this sacred space and to offer our practice to Mother Earth. We will enjoy a yoga class focused on the connection this practice has with nature.
We will close the practice with a meditation that sends healing energy to nature.
After class, everyone will jump into the crystal-clear water to cleanse themselves of the stress and energy of daily life, with the intention of releasing whatever is no longer needed in their personal journey.
There will be time to swim, snorkel, and explore the cenote, as well as to enjoy a healthy snack and a drink before heading back to the meeting point.
Cenotes are regarded by the ancient Maya as portals to the underworld and are among the region’s most fascinating attractions. Rich in history and mystery, these special places feature striking rock formations, archaeological remains from the Ice Age and the Maya civilization, visible sections of underground rivers, fun cliff jumps, and some of the clearest water you are likely to swim in.
We will visit a cenote that is not accessible to many tourists, so we will have the place almost entirely to ourselves.
Tulum and its surroundings offer truly astonishing nature, and together with their mysticism and ancient sites, they create a sacred space and a healing paradise. The energy of Mother Earth here can inspire real inner transformation. While the spiritual side of the area has attracted many people, it has also led to a kind of “spiritual business,” just as happened with the yoga trend in Tulum and around the world. What I want to share with you is a genuine, transformative experience of connection with nature and with your own nature — one that can mark a real before and after in your life.
