The journey begins in Marrakech and continues across the Atlas Mountains, with a stay in the ancient and mystical village of Ait Ben Haddou before reaching the heart of the desert.

Along the way, Michele Averard and Tanit Navarro will share their expertise in sound healing, vocal activation, and sacred chants, creating an immersive retreat rooted in vibration, expression, and presence.

Each day includes sound healing sessions focused on exploring the voice and its unique resonance. In this inspiring setting, participants are invited to reconnect with their vibrational essence and explore the power of sound in a deeper way.

Free extra bonus: each guest will receive a Moroccan hand drum and take part in a workshop on traditional drum painting.

PROGRAM

10 Day Voice & Sound Healing Retreat & Desert Adventure

Dates: 05.11.26 – 15.11.26 (includes arrival and departure days)

Day 1: Arrival at Marrakech airport and transfer to Riad Maison Douia. Evening presentation circle and dinner at the riad.

Day 2: Morning visit to Marrakech and its medina. Lunch in the souk, followed by an afternoon session with Michele or Tanit at Maison Douia.

Day 3: Departure for the ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, crossing the Atlas Mountains. Lunch on the road, arrival in Ait Ben Haddou, and a sunset guided visit to the iconic monument of the Thousand Kasbahs. Overnight at Riad Paradise of Silence.

Day 4: Morning circle with Michele and Tanit. Morning painting workshop on ayenza with Afus Art. Overnight at Riad Paradise of Silence.

Day 5: Morning circle with Michele and Tanit. Departure to the Erg Chebbi desert by 4x4 transfer. Four-night stay at Nomad Luxury Camp.

Day 6: Full-day session with Michele or Tanit at the desert camp. Evening fire, Saharawi music, and dance.

Day 7: Full-day session with Michele or Tanit at the desert camp. Evening fire, Saharawi music, and dance.

Day 8: Half-day session with Michele or Tanit at the desert camp. Afternoon free. Saharawi music and dance.

Day 9: Morning circle with Michele and Tanit. 4x4 transfer from the camp to the minibus meeting point. Departure for the foothills of Jebel Kissane in the market town area of Agdz, with overnight stay at Bab el Oued ecolodge in Tamnougalt. Early evening ceremony and closing of the retreat with Michele and Tanit. Dinner in the riad.

Day 10: Departure for Marrakech. Lunch on the road. Accommodation at Riad Dar Silsila in the medina.

Day 11: Transfer to Marrakech airport.

During the retreat, Michele and Tanit will also offer a concert and sound journey on separate evenings.

Useful tips:

• What documents do I need to travel?
  A passport valid for at least 6 months from the departure date.
• Do I need travel insurance?
  It is recommended that each person arrange travel insurance covering possible medical expenses.
• What currency is used in Morocco?
  The currency is the Moroccan Dirham.
• Should I bring cash?
  At the airport, euros can be exchanged for dirhams. Cash is recommended for shops, restaurants, and markets, as credit and debit cards are not usually accepted.

Meet your Facilitators

Michele Averard

Director of the Association of Sound Therapy
Author of Free Your Voice, Heal Your Life!

Michele Averard is co-director and co-founder of The International Association of Sound Therapy – Harmonic Sounds®. She is an internationally recognised sound therapist, workshop facilitator, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and author of Free Your Voice, Heal Your Life.

Since 1994, she has led courses, workshops, and conferences on the healing power of sound, with a special focus on the voice. With her husband, Nestor Kornblum, she has created and released more than 10 CDs of healing music. Michele has also been interviewed and featured on television and radio in several countries, and has written for magazines and other publications.

Over the past 27 years, she has facilitated courses for women centred on celebrating femininity and healing emotional and psychological issues from childhood through sound techniques. She has also worked with children, teaching sound awareness, basic energy work, and musical improvisation.

She has collaborated on many musical projects and, 12 years ago, formed the all-women chanting group “Las Voces de Gaia,” which she continues to direct.

Tanit Navarro

Voice Therapist · Singer-Songwriter & Musician

Tanit Navarro has devoted more than 20 years to voice, creative expression, and self-knowledge. Her background spans theatre, world music, and vocal improvisation, and this path led her to develop two voice-work methods: The Essential Voice and MamaCanta, both of which she teaches throughout Spain, Portugal, and Latin America.

Tanit has released three self-published CDs: Iandé (2011), Nueve Lunas (9 Moons) (2013), dedicated to maternity, and Saliendo de la Cueva (Coming out of the Cave), produced by Luis Paniagua (2016).
