"Asana is meditation in action"
The essence of yoga practice is that, over time, we become more willing to meet ourselves exactly as we are in each moment. From that place of honesty, we can move through the world with greater compassion and kindness. This weekend retreat invites you to deepen your awareness of body, breath, and concentration, offering space to refresh your practice and begin again with renewed energy.
Testimonials:
This Iyengar yoga weekend retreat returns to the foundations of practice. As BKS Iyengar said, "Asana is meditation in action." A steady asana practice helps align and balance the body, while regular pranayama refines the breath and supports a more focused, stable mind. Over the course of the weekend, you will take part in asana and pranayama classes, receive guided meditation, and join group discussion designed to deepen understanding and help integrate the teachings of your time together.
This program is suitable for advanced beginner and intermediate students and teachers of yoga. Some familiarity with Iyengar yoga is helpful, though not required. Certain parts of the retreat may be challenging, but modifications will be offered throughout.
