Join Christiane Wolf, Bob Stahl, Mary Grace Orr, and Marcy Reynolds for a retreat designed for both new and experienced practitioners. This gathering centers on the first of the Four Foundations of Mindfulness: mindfulness of the body. Participants will be introduced to the “32 Parts of the Body” meditation, a practice that is rarely taught in the West and will be explored here through an Insight perspective that reveals the body’s true nature and wonder.
Alongside this foundational meditation, the retreat will offer a range of methods to deepen mindfulness of the body and investigate the intimate connection between body and mind. The practice has also been valued as a support for healing illness and for loosening the mistaken view of a fixed self. With guided instruction and reflective exploration, attendees can expect a thoughtful space to reconnect with embodied awareness and discover greater freedom within the body.

The fees for this rate covers retreat costs, meals, accommodations in an A-Frame structure and if applicable teacher compensation (please refer to the program notes to verify). The A-Frame is a simple structure located in nature and a short walk on a well defined trail to campus. Each A-Frame has a twin bed, linens included, a side table, a cassette toilet and outdoor shower. This is a great option if you're looking for a quiet space immersed in nature, while still close and accessing the simple amenities of retreat.
