Marti and Karen invite you to spend a nourishing week immersed in soul-centered practices at Mar de Jade, their beloved tropical retreat center on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. For the past five years, this special place has felt like a home away from home, where lush jungle meets the sea, birds and flowers flourish, and the warmth of the local community creates an especially welcoming atmosphere.
Step into mindful yoga practices designed to awaken inner wisdom on every level — physical, mental, and spiritual. With intimate instruction, focused attention, and space to breathe, you’ll have the chance to explore what your practice can become. This is an opportunity to restore yourself and dedicate a full week entirely to your own well-being.
Each day begins with guided meditation, followed by an energizing yoga session to awaken the body and senses. After that, there will be ample free time to enjoy the beach, book a spa treatment, join an excursion, or simply unwind in a hammock. In the afternoons, you’ll ease into a gentle restorative and yin practice while taking in beautiful sunset views over the water from the yoga shala.
Three delicious, health-focused meals made with ingredients from the center’s own organic gardens will be served daily in the open-air dining room. Fresh fruit, coffee, and tea will be waiting for you at sunrise each morning. Sleep deeply to the sound of ocean waves and experience the healing, restorative benefits that Mar de Jade is known for.
Marti and Karen are experienced and supportive yoga instructors with decades of teaching experience across classes, workshops, and retreats.
Their style is mindful, playful, and grounding, and they value the power of touch, bringing a caring hands-on approach to their teaching.
Throughout the week, practices may include somatic work, alignment-based flow, gentle and yin yoga, meditation, pranayama, and chanting.
All levels are welcome, from beginners to advanced students.
