
This course introduces participants to the art of meditation through a range of practices from the yogic tradition. It includes Kaya Sthairyam, or body stillness, which helps steady the mind by focusing on the immobility of the body. Chakra Shudhi explores the purification of the psychic centers through concentration, breath, and sound mantra, supporting the opening and awakening of the chakras.
Ajapajapa, the continuous repetition of mantra, uses the breath and the mantra SOHAM & HAMSO along the spinal and frontal passages of the psychic body. This practice is designed to help you explore deeper layers of the mind and release mental complexes, offering a simple yet effective way to bring balance between inner and outer life. Antar Mouna, or inner silence, develops the ability to observe thoughts and let them pass, while cultivating the witness, the drashta.
The course also includes Yoga Nidra, a yogic sleep practice that moves through waking, dreaming, and deep sleep while maintaining conscious awareness. Chakra Dharana focuses on the psychic centers through visualization and sound to awaken their latent energies. Audio recordings of the meditations will be provided at the end of the course for continued self-practice.
