Spend ten days living within a traditional Indian ashram, where each day is shaped by practice, simplicity, and a steady supportive rhythm. This experience offers space to slow down, restore your energy, and connect with India as a living spiritual culture.
This retreat brings together committed yogic practice, time in nature, and the opportunity to explore sacred places in the region. The atmosphere is grounded, human, and supportive, allowing growth to unfold through shared life, reflection, and simplicity.
Daily life follows the natural rhythm of the ashram: early mornings, mantra chanting, yoga practice, karma yoga, nourishing meals, rest, and conversation. Alongside this structure, we guide a clear inner process that explores body, mind, energy, heart, wisdom, and purpose. Through teachings, meditation, reflection, and inquiry, participants are invited to notice how these aspects relate to one another and shape everyday life.
The retreat takes place at Yoga Vidya Gurukul, a peaceful ashram surrounded by fields, mountains, a lake, and open sky. The setting supports both inner work and relaxation, with time to swim, walk, rejuvenate, and simply be.
India is woven into the experience as well. We visit Trimbakeshwar Temple, spend time in Nashik, explore ancient caves, and encounter the color, spirit, and living culture of the region.
This retreat is for people who want to step away from their usual routine and devote time to practice, reflection, and living yoga in a traditional ashram environment.
It is suited to those who want to explore the connection between body, mind, energy, heart, wisdom, and purpose in daily life.
It is also a good fit for those drawn to India as a living spiritual culture, and for anyone who values simplicity, nature, and shared life.
The retreat is open to all levels. What matters most is openness, willingness to practice, and respect for the ashram setting and the group.
Each day follows a clear rhythm designed to support presence, practice, and integration.
The retreat includes excursions that expand the experience beyond the ashram and offer direct contact with the spiritual life of the region.
One morning we travel early to Trimbakeshwar Temple and arrive before sunrise, when the temple is especially alive with devotion and movement.
On another day, we visit Nashik, a spiritual city with active temple culture and local markets, where we walk through temples and experience the daily life of the area.
We also spend time at nearby caves once used for meditation and retreat, allowing the atmosphere to support stillness and reflection.
Shared taxis from Mumbai city or Mumbai airport to the ashram can be arranged. When possible, participants travel together. Taxi costs are paid separately.
Dormitory-style accommodation with 2-4 beds, separate for men and women, each room with an attached bathroom.
Three vegetarian meals a day, prepared at the ashram with local ingredients. Meals are eaten in silence at the ashram. On excursion days, meals are taken outside and paid for separately.
Open to all levels. No prior experience is required.
Places are limited to support the quality of the group experience. After registration, practical details and preparation support will be shared.
