A guided step-by-step immersion into the full Taoist system with Mantak Chia
Designed for those who are ready to move beyond inspiration and into a clear structure
With more than 50 years of teaching Taoist Inner Alchemy, over 1,000,000 students worldwide, 3,000+ certified UHT instructors, and teaching in 50+ countries, the Universal Healing Tao approach has become a global path of practice and transmission.
This retreat is not a series of disconnected workshops. It is a progressive Taoist training path created by Grandmaster Mantak Chia, designed to develop energy awareness, emotional balance, vitality, and inner strength in a steady, integrated way.
If you have already practiced, studied, and explored, this retreat offers something different: structure. It is for those who want a foundation they can return to and build on over time. Across three weeks, you will restore breath and internal balance, stabilize the Tan Tien as a true energetic center, and progress through Iron Shirt I–III to cultivate rooted strength and structural integrity. Each stage prepares the next, helping the practice settle into the body as a living system rather than a set of separate techniques.
Led directly by Mantak Chia, this is a rare opportunity to train the complete internal system in one continuous progression. For anyone ready to turn knowledge into embodied strength, this is where that process begins.
Week 1: Fundamentals of Healing Qigong, 5 Elements Nutrition
Schedule: 4 June | 19:00-20:00 | Introduction; 5–7 June | 14:00-18:00 | Workshops with Grandmaster Mantak Chia; 8 June | 10:30-12:30 | Review class with UHT Instructor
20 UHT Certification Hours (morning qigong + evening session + workshops + review class)
What you will learn: Taoist 5 Elements Nutrition for cleansing and energy balance; Sacred Water practices to nourish the organs and inner systems; Taoist breathwork for emotional release and nervous system regulation; foundational Qigong to establish rhythm, grounding, and vitality.
This first week gently resets body and mind, creating the base for the whole retreat. Through Taoist nutrition, Sacred Water practices, breathwork, and daily Qigong, the body begins to let go of tension, toxins, and energetic stagnation. The nervous system softens, digestion and breathing return to a more natural rhythm, and awareness comes back into the body.
Week 2: Tao Yin, Chi Self Massage, Cosmic Vision, Tan Tien
Schedule: 12–14 June | 14:00-18:00 | Workshops with Grandmaster Mantak Chia; 15 June | 10:30-12:30 | Review class with UHT Instructor
20 UHT Certification Hours (morning qigong + evening session + workshops + review class)
What you will learn: Tao Yin for spine health, flexibility, and deep structural release; Chi Self Massage to awaken the organs and support internal circulation; Cosmic Vision to refine inner perception and energetic sensitivity; Tan Tien practices to build grounding, vitality, and a stable energetic core.
In week two, the work moves deeper into the body’s internal architecture. The spine becomes a focus for health and energy flow, the organs are approached as living energetic systems, and the Tan Tien is trained as the foundation of stability. As held tension begins to release, Qi circulates more freely. Chi Self Massage and Cosmic Vision combine touch, breath, and awareness to activate the organs and sharpen perception.
Week 3: Iron Shirt I, II, III
Schedule: 19–21 June | 14:00-18:00 | Workshops with Grandmaster Mantak Chia; 22 June | 10:30-12:30 | Review class with UHT Instructor
20 UHT Certification Hours (morning qigong + evening session + workshops + review class)
What you will learn: Iron Shirt I for grounding, rooting, and internal alignment; Iron Shirt II for tendon strength, elasticity, and energy storage; Iron Shirt III, Bone Marrow Nei Gong, for deep regeneration and immune support.
This final week brings the retreat to its culmination. Iron Shirt Qigong I–III are usually taught separately and over extended periods, yet here they are transmitted as one progressive and integrated path. Through rooting, tendon training, and internal energy work, the body becomes more stable, resilient, and supported from within. What was opened and refined in the earlier weeks is now gathered into strength, presence, and embodied awareness.
Why this retreat is structured this way
In many trainings, these methods are taught apart from one another. Here, they are intentionally brought together. Breath, digestion, and nervous system balance are restored first. Then the spine is stabilized and the Tan Tien is activated as a real energetic center. Finally, the full Iron Shirt progression builds structural strength, tendon elasticity, and internal power. Nothing stands alone. The result is a concentrated Taoist process that supports vitality, steady energy, and practical tools you can carry into daily life.
