Summer Solstice Yin and Sound Bath — Nectar Yoga

Welcome the height of summer with a warm community gathering at Nectar Retreat Centre. The Summer Solstice is a meaningful moment to honour the sun and receive the abundance of Mother Earth. Guided by Nectars creatrix, Andrea, this evening offers space to express gratitude for the season and the shifting rhythms of nature. Andrea will lead an all-levels Yin yoga and functional movement practice inspired by the longest day of the year, formally opening the season of light on this Summer Solstice 2026 evening. After the gentle movement practice, settle into a meditative healing sound bath with crystal bowls, then close with a guided silent relaxation and a gratitude circle.

ABOUT SOUNDBATHS

A sound bath works much like a bath in water, except the body is immersed in sound. Often featuring metal or crystal singing bowls, these instruments produce rich, resonant tones when played by a practitioner. The experience fills the room and surrounds everyone present with waves of sound. These supportive vibrations move through the body, and their resonance is said to activate theta, alpha, and gamma brain waves, which are associated with relaxation, uplifted mood, and overall well-being of mind, body, and spirit.

Sliding Scale of $30-$65

In support of Nectar’s commitment to staying as accessible as realistically possible, this gathering is offered on a sliding scale that reflects your systemic and economic privilege and capacity, within the range of $30-$65. The actual retail value of this offering is $50. Contributions that meet or exceed this value make a meaningful difference in helping expand access to the facilities for everyone.

Nectar also provides one full scholarship spot for each gathering. Please inquire about availability by email. Proof of financial hardship is not required.

Parking is very limited, so please arrive early and carpool if possible.
