Sufi meditation on the 99 Beautiful Names of God in Vilnius, Lithuania.
“Sufis breathe only love” – Khawaja Muin Uddin Hasan Chishti
asmaa-al-husna
Sufism is a spiritual path, often described as the mystical and esoteric dimension of Islam. Sufi meditation on the 99 Beautiful Names of God (asmaa-al-husna) is a powerful Sufi practice. It is designed not only to share insight into how qualities connected with specific Divine Names — such as peace, strength, balance, or grace — appear in the world and within the human being, but also to encourage the unfolding of these qualities in oneself. Sufis believe that by focusing in meditation on a particular Divine Name, a connection opens to the spiritual source and the energy carried by that Name is received. This supports the growth of the related inner quality and can bring positive change into life.
The Sufi mystic Gudri Shah Baba IV wrote about the 99 Beautiful Names of God: “There is a special charm, fascination, and attraction hidden in the Names. They help. They uplift. They comfort and lift again. They guide. They call out and inspire. To those whose spirit is broken, they offer a healing word.”

What should I wear and bring?
Please choose loose, comfortable clothing. It is also recommended to bring a small, clean white piece of fabric, about 60 x 60 cm, which you can sit on. In Sufism, inner cleanliness and purity are emphasized, and the color white symbolizes these qualities.
Do I need to register in advance?
Registration is not required. However, if you plan to attend, please let us know by SMS or email (contacts), though this is optional.
Are there any restrictions on who can participate?
Everyone is welcome, regardless of meditation experience, religion, or beliefs.
If Sufism is a mystical branch of Islam, will I be pressured to become Muslim?
No pressure will be placed on participants’ religious beliefs, and there will be no attempt to change them. In Sufism, all existence is understood as having a spiritual dimension, with a higher spiritual consciousness permeating the world and acting within it; all worldly phenomena depend on this consciousness.
When asked whether Sufism is only for Muslims, Inam Hasan Gudri Shah, the head of the Gudri Shahi Sufi order, replied: “No, Sufism is like a hotel with free entry for anyone who wishes to taste the free wine of tawhid (the unity of God).”
