Jeevatman Yogshala presents a Yoga Alliance USA YACEP-certified Sound Healing Teacher Training Course in Rishikesh, India, offered in 1-day, 3-day, 5-day, and 7-day formats. Prices start from $120 without accommodation. Guided by Ayushi Desai, a sound healer with more than 700 hours of training, this course introduces you to Tibetan singing bowls, gong therapy, crystal bowls, chakra balancing, and the practice of facilitating sound baths. With students arriving from 25+ countries, Rishikesh β the Yoga Capital of the World β provides an inspiring setting for this transformative training.
Sound healing is a therapeutic practice that works through vibration and resonance to support physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing. Instruments such as Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, and crystal bowls create frequencies that interact with the nervous system, helping shift the body from stressed beta states into calmer alpha and theta states, where rest and restoration can naturally unfold.
Grounded in ancient Vedic and Tibetan traditions, sound healing has been used in India for thousands of years to purify energy, balance the chakras, and quiet the mind. Modern research in bioacoustics and neuroscience also supports its effects, showing that specific frequencies can help reduce cortisol, lower heart rate, and activate the parasympathetic nervous system. Because the human body is made up of approximately 70% water, it responds deeply to vibration, making sound one of the most accessible healing modalities today.
Learning in Rishikesh adds another layer of depth. Beside Maa Ganga in the Himalayan foothills, this is not a trend-driven practice but a living tradition, carried forward by generations of practitioners. The environment itself becomes part of the teaching.
All programs include course materials, a study manual, and Yoga Alliance YACEP certification. Accommodation and sattvic vegetarian meals are available as an add-on.
Ayushi Desai Ji (Sound Healer)
Raised in Mumbai, Ayushi Desai was drawn early on to something quieter beneath the pace of city life. In 2017, she completed her first 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training, and that experience opened the door to yoga philosophy and a deeper path of study. Another 200-hour course followed, then 300-Hour training in Rishikesh, where the mountains, Maa Ganga, and the cityβs spiritual rhythm kept calling her back.
Over time, she completed 700 hours of training, each step revealing a deeper understanding of yoga beyond movement alone. Her path naturally expanded into sound, where she discovered a form of healing that could reach people through vibration, stillness, breath, and presence.
Ayushi offers a warm and grounded teaching space, shaped by her own journey of discipline, doubt, and devotion. Through yoga, meditation, and sound, she helps students soften, reconnect, and remember themselves. At Jeevatman Yogshala, she shares both technique and lived experience with honesty and humility.
No previous experience in yoga or sound healing is needed. This training is open to complete beginners as well as experienced practitioners.
