In this private sound massage session, you will be gently enveloped by the calming tones and deeply resonant vibrations of singing bowls. You remain fully clothed throughout, and unlike a traditional massage, there is no physical touch between you and the therapist. Instead, the bowls are placed on specific points of the body — along the spine, on the feet, palms, and the muscles of the legs — and then played to allow their vibrations to move through you from within.
The experience is often described as being washed over by soft, nurturing waves. The sound seems to fill the entire body, with a subtle pulsing sensation that can feel both grounding and deeply soothing. As the bowls resonate, the body begins to vibrate alongside them, creating a sense of immersion in sound and energy.
This treatment supports balance on a cellular level and is often referred to as sound massage. The rhythmic waves of vibration are believed to reach the muscles, inner organs, tissues, and cells, helping to restore harmony across the body, mind, and soul.
Himalayan Singing Bowls have been used for centuries in Tibet, India, and Nepal for healing and meditation. Their sounds are designed to help restore the body’s natural vibratory frequencies and encourage the mind and spirit into a more harmonious state. The tones may guide the brain into Theta wave frequencies, supporting deep meditation, inner calm, clarity, and heightened intuition. Their vibrations also work with the nervous system, encouraging deep relaxation and helping to quiet stress and pain responses. In this way, the sound and vibration can enhance awareness of the mind-body connection.
During the treatment, other instruments such as Tibetan Tingshaw, Ocean Drum, Gong, or Bells may also be used, adding a rich variety of sound frequencies and vibrations that support healing and energetic balance on every level.
"If we accept that sound is vibration and we know that vibration touches every part of our physical being, then we understand that sound is heard not only through our ears but through every cell in our bodies. One reason sound heals on a physical level is because it so deeply touches and transforms us on the emotional and spiritual planes. Sound can redress imbalances on every level of physiologic functioning and can play a positive role in the treatment of virtually any medical disorder."
