Following the success of Soul Medicine Nights since January 2025, this experience now expands into a yoga retreat festival in Dorset. Saira Francis, Sam Wilson Zara, and DJ Andy Cleeton invite you into an immersive day of yoga flow, live music, dancing, and a joyful sober rave. You can join the day retreat, the evening sober rave, or stay for both.
Set in the beautiful surroundings of The Abbey Tithe Barn in Abbotsbury, this day is designed to awaken energy, deepen connection, and create space for celebration.
Enjoy yoga, music, and dancing in a festival atmosphere that is completely alcohol- and drug-free. Come on your own or with friends and relax into a warm, welcoming environment built around fun, movement, and shared experience.
This is a carefully curated journey from day into evening, moving from uplift and renewal into celebration and expansion.
Join the day retreat from 10am to 4pm, the sober rave from 5:30pm to 9:30pm, or stay for the full experience.
The day begins with an uplifting yoga flow to bring you into the body, followed by a deeply restorative Yoga Nidra session to support nervous system reset and invite deep relaxation.
Saira and Sam will guide the practice with decades of experience and a long-standing dedication to wellness and retreats.
Throughout the day, DJ Andy Cleeton will play a nonstop soundtrack of 90s classic dance tracks. Move through your practice to those nostalgic, spine-tingling beats and let the music bring a sense of joy and energy.
There is also the option of an afternoon scenic walk up to St Catherine's Chapel in Abbotsbury, offering a chance to pause, breathe, reflect, and take in the Dorset landscape.
The daytime journey closes with a deeply immersive sound bath featuring chakra crystal singing bowls and gong, helping the body and mind integrate the experience.
As the festival unfolds from day into evening, you may bring your own picnic lunch and supper or pre-book homemade meals from the award-winning Cherries Cafe next to the venue.
As the energy shifts into night, the doors open to everyone for an immersive evening of conscious dance inside the barn, guided by live DJs and an uplifting atmosphere.
During the evening, a bar will be available with a tempting selection of sober drinks, along with heart-opening ceremonial raw cacao available to purchase for your ecstatic dance.
To keep the event accessible, there are several pricing options:

This evening event can also be booked separately for anyone who wants to join just the dance celebration.
Can we just come for the evening sober rave?
Yes, you are very welcome to join from 5:30pm and book only the evening event.
Is it ok to come on my own?
Absolutely. Yoga retreats and sober raves are welcoming spaces for solo guests, and many people attend alone. Saira and Sam will help you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive.
Can we stay locally?
There are many beautiful places to stay in and around Abbotsbury.
How do I find you?
The venue address is Abbey Barn, Church St, Abbotsbury, Weymouth, Dorset DT3 4JJ. Follow signs for Abbotsbury and park in the Village Car Park off Rodden Row (DT3 4JL), which is pay and display. From there, walk along the footpath towards Abbey House Guest House and down to Abbey Pond; the barn is on the other side of the pond. What3Words: Movements.They.Sorters.
