Silent Women's Retreat

Silent Women's Retreat

Description

A sanctuary for renewal, designed for women.

A 3.5-Day Silent Experience

Pause. Reconnect. Rise.

Women often hold multiple roles at once—professional, family, and emotional—while their own needs are pushed aside. This retreat at Amrutham offers a rare chance to set those demands down, even for a few days, and make space for yourself again.

Across 3.5 days, guided practices, Ayurveda-informed care, and a warm sense of community help you reconnect with your body, restore your energy, and rediscover your inner strength. This is not about indulgence; it is about resetting and returning home to yourself.

What You Will Gain

  • Emotional Renewal: Safe space for reflection, journaling, and guided sharing circles.
  • Nourished Body: Wholesome meals, Ayurvedic massages, and yoga sequences tailored to women’s needs.
  • Stress Relief & Sleep Reset: Breathwork, meditation, and relaxation practices that calm the nervous system.
  • Sisterhood & Support: Meaningful connection with like-minded women, creating bonds that extend beyond the retreat.

Why Amrutham

  • Women-Centered Care: Faculty and therapists who understand women’s unique physical and emotional journeys.
  • Holistic Healing: A thoughtful blend of Ayurveda, yoga, meditation, and sharing circles.
  • Safe & Supportive Environment: A space where you can simply be yourself, free from judgment or expectation.
  • Practical Integration: Simple rituals and tools you can bring into everyday life long after the retreat ends.

Is This Retreat Right for You?

This retreat is especially suited to women who:

  • Are often in their mid-30s to late 50s and standing at a life crossroads, ready to move through an important transition with greater intention.
  • Have given deeply to careers, families, or communities and now need space to reclaim clarity and personal power.
  • Are drawn to spirituality with a practical foundation, rooted in India’s ancient traditions and aligned with modern, evidence-based approaches in behavioral psychology.
  • Are ready to explore tools and frameworks in a secure space for reset and recalibration.
  • Want to take active ownership of their well-being through small, sustainable lifestyle shifts.
  • Prefer intimacy over scale and value a close-knit group that supports trust and genuine connection.
  • Are prepared to honor silence and presence, with a vow of silence and full digital disconnection throughout the retreat.

This is not a casual escape or a spa weekend. It is an intentional journey of inner renewal, created to offer practical tools you can carry into daily life. If you are ready to invest sincerely in balance and purpose, you are warmly invited.

Your Journey Through the Women’s Retreat

Thursday - Crossing the Threshold

You arrive at Amrutham in the late afternoon, and the outside world gradually recedes. A gentle orientation introduces the vow of silence, followed by time to set your intention. By evening, devices are set aside, conversation softens, and the retreat container begins. A meditation session and a guided introduction to envisioning a renewed version of yourself set the tone. A silent Mehandi ceremony honors sisterhood and marks the beginning of your journey inward. You end the day early, ready for immersion, clarity, and restoration.

Friday - Entering the Silence

At dawn, the gong calls you into the day. Guided meditation and yoga establish a steady rhythm of awareness, followed by a nourishing Ayurvedic breakfast. Theory and practical sessions combine ancient philosophy with modern science, helping you understand both the why and the how of the practices. The day balances depth and ease through group sessions, personal reflection, mindful meals, and restorative breaks. You will also have a brief consultation with a BAMS-licensed senior Ayurvedic physician, who will design a treatment protocol carried out by certified therapists. A mindful time in the pool adds to the sense of lightness. As evening approaches, silent reflection and gentle practices prepare body and mind for rest, with lights out by 9:30 pm.

Saturday - Deepening the Practice

Once again, the gong brings you into stillness. By now, silence feels less like a rule and more like a gift. Meditation deepens, while breathwork and movement help release what is no longer needed. Midday teaching sessions and experiential exercises offer tools for habit change, emotional balance, and resilience. Ayurvedic therapies continue to cleanse and nourish, supporting the inner work through embodied healing. A cuisine session shares recipes you can use at home for yourself and your loved ones, encouraging deeper connection. Scientifically validated tests offer further insight into mind and temperament. In the evening, the group gathers in silence near the beach to watch the orange sun sink into the ocean horizon. The day closes with practices that lead you into profound rest.

Sunday - Integration and Renewal

The final day remains quiet, while gently shifting toward integration. Morning practices bring clarity, followed by sessions that help you create a daily blueprint for sustainable mornings, meals, and evenings, grounded in the ACE framework—Awareness, Contentment, and Equanimity. Before departure, digital devices are returned and personal resolutions are set. You leave not at an ending, but at a beginning: lighter in body, clearer in mind, and supported with tools for steadiness and purpose.

Post-Departure Follow Up

One week after departure, you will receive a confidential personalized wellness report with recommended interventions. A virtual meeting is also scheduled to discuss the report and gently maintain the sense of connection and purpose.

Intensity with Care: The days are full, yet thoughtfully paced with breaks, modifications, and support. You are invited to bring your full presence; guidance and warmth will meet you there.
