Shamanic Apprenticeship in the Andes of Ecuador

Answer the call to a sacred path of learning, ceremony, and spiritual connection in the Andes of Ecuador. This private apprenticeship is guided one-on-one by Taita Miguel, a curandero with more than 28 years of experience, and offers an intimate opportunity to study ancient healing traditions directly with a respected teacher.

This intensive shamanic apprenticeship is offered to only one student at a time. Every program is personally guided by Taita Miguel and includes:

• 3 weekly ceremonies with Ayahuasca, San Pedro, and/or Wilka
• Traditional teachings, plant diets, and fire ceremony
• Tobacco dieta (9-day immersion)
• Learning medicine songs, cleansing techniques, and spirit connection
• Harvesting, preparing, and cooking sacred medicines
• Holding fire vigils, giving plant baths, and learning traditional healing methods
• Travel to the jungle, sacred sites, and nearby towns

Whether your intention is to become a ceremonial facilitator or to deepen your own healing journey, you will receive focused guidance to walk this path in your own unique way.

Choose Your Path

🌿 40-Day Apprenticeship: Ayahuasca OR San Pedro Path

Go deeply into the work with Grandmother Ayahuasca or Grandfather San Pedro (Huachuma).

• 3 ceremonies/week with medicine
• Classes Monday–Friday
• Assist in ceremonies and learn to: give limpias and plant baths, work with spirits and instruments, tend fire + 4-day fire ceremony (no food, only water), complete 9-day tobacco dieta (drink, inhale, hape, smoke), create your own songs and learn traditional icaros, harvest/cook Ayahuasca + San Pedro, lead fire ceremonies + practice healings with locals

🌈 60-Day Apprenticeship: Ayahuasca + San Pedro Path

Includes everything in the 40-day path, plus more practice time and expanded learning. You may also learn to work with both medicines if you choose. This path includes Rainbow Quest (Vision Quest): a 4-day solo fast with no food or water, surrounded by prayer ties, under the Tree of Life — a sacred vision-seeking ceremony.

🌌 16-Day Wilka Training

A focused two-week training in working with Mama Wilka.

• Two Wilka ceremonies daily (morning + evening), 5 days a week
• Four-day Vision Quest or Fire Ceremony at the end
• 9-day tobacco dieta
• Learn to: lead Wilka ceremonies, perform limpias and plant healings, work with sacred instruments and icaros, hold space with presence and strength

• Private house with hot water, wifi, kitchen, living room + bedroom
• Food — you prepare your own meals, with the option to hire a cook
• Access to pool and laundry on site
• Free time to hike to sacred sites, rivers, visit Vilcabamba, and explore other towns
