The island is also known for scenic hiking routes that link small villages, ancient sites, and panoramic viewpoints over the Aegean Sea. Among its most iconic landmarks is the Panagia Hozoviotissa Monastery, a centuries-old monastery built into the cliffside with breathtaking views. Amorgos is also home to beautiful beaches such as Agia Anna, famous for its crystal-clear water and its appearance in The Big Blue.

October is an excellent time to visit Amorgos. The climate remains mild and pleasant, with daytime temperatures around 20–25°C (68–77°F) and cooler evenings of 15–18°C (59–64°F). The sea is still warm enough for swimming, while the island is quieter than in peak summer. Occasional rain or wind may occur, but the season is generally ideal for hiking, exploring, and relaxation.

Aegialis Hotel & Spa is located in the northern part of the island on a hillside overlooking Aegiali Bay.

Booking and refund options:

A reservation requires a deposit of 300 EUR. The deposit is refundable if the booking is canceled before May 01. The remaining payment is due by May 01, 2026, and is non-refundable.
