Step into a day designed to help you slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with the source of your energy. This monthly wellbeing gathering offers a calm, restorative pause from the pace of everyday life, supporting you in returning to your natural rhythm with greater ease, clarity, and joy.
Across the year, each session responds to the changing seasons, offering practices that reflect the needs of body, mind, and spirit at different times of year. From cleansing and renewal to vitality, purification, and deep rest, every gathering is shaped to support balance and wellbeing in harmony with nature.
For this September edition, Take a Breather: Deep Reset Pranayama, the focus is on breath-led renewal. Expect an hour-long wellbeing session guided by experienced teachers, with authentic and grounded practices drawn from yoga, breathwork, mindfulness, meditation, and ayurveda. The session may also include restorative movement, sound healing, or seasonal rituals, depending on the programme and teacher.
After the wellbeing session, guests can unwind in the hand-built Siberian Sauna, set in the beautiful outdoor setting of the lime tree avenue. With panoramic views across the landscape and the River Thames nearby, it is a deeply soothing space to rest, reset, and enjoy the warmth of the fire element. In summer, there is also the opportunity for wild swimming and river dips.
The day concludes with a candlelit two-course Ayurvedic dinner served in the oak-panelled dining room at Hardwick House. Prepared with seasonal produce, the meal is fresh, organic, locally grown, and plant-based, offering a fine dining experience that is both nourishing and uplifting.
Held in a welcoming community space, this retreat invites you to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself and with others. Surrounded by like-minded people and supported by experienced facilitators, you are encouraged to leave feeling softened, restored, and more deeply in tune with the seasons.
Meals are prepared with fresh, organic, locally grown ingredients and follow the Ayurvedic principle of food as medicine. Each two-course fine dining meal is created by an Ayurvedic culinary expert and chef, blending flavour and nourishment in equal measure.
Food is approached as a tool for self-healing and balance, supporting your yoga, meditation, and cleansing practices. Whenever possible, fruit and vegetables are sourced from Tolhurst Organic farm on site, which uses stock-free farming to create food with a low carbon footprint and cruelty-free values.

Take a Breather: Deep Reset Pranayama
Hardwick Estate, RG8 7RA
The gathering takes place at Hardwick Estate, at the heart of which stands Hardwick House. This beautiful Tudor manor is usually closed to the public and reserved for the private use of the Rose family, making it a rare and special setting for practice.
Hardwick Estate is easy to reach, located around 40 minutes by train from London Paddington and just 20 minutes by car from Junction 12 on the M4. Set within the rolling countryside of the Chilterns AONB, it offers a peaceful escape that feels close to the city yet wonderfully removed from it.
Surrounded by 500-year-old trees, riverside views, and striking scenery, it is an inspiring place to spend time in community and in nature.
