Our doors are open every day of the year. Your Retreat program begins when you arrive, for as long, or as short as you like!
To ensure you make the most of your experience, we typically require a minimum stay of 3 nights for most programs.

In order to create an intimate and private retreat, we have just 15 guest rooms with a choice of 4 room types.
Each room can accommodate 2 people, and an additional fee is charged for double occupancy.

What is Burnout?
Coined by the psychologist, Herbert Freudenberger in the 1970s, burnout describes a severe stress condition that leads to severe physical, mental and emotional exhaustion.
Much worse than ordinary fatigue, burnout makes it challenging for people to cope with stress and handle day-to-day responsibilities.
Who can get Burnout?
Along with career-induced burnout, people caring for children can also have this type of extreme exhaustion. A recent study found that, just like doctors and business executives, mothers and fathers can also burn out.
More simply put, if you feel exhausted, start to hate your job, and begin to feel less capable, you are showing signs of burnout. Personality characteristics like needing to be in control, perfectionism, and being "Type A" can also increase your risk of burnout.

When does the Relaxation Retreat start?
Our Retreats start on the day of your arrival! When you arrive at Shanti-Som, we will provide you with your own schedule of activities.
What does a typical day look like at a Relaxation Retreat?
Our Wellness Retreat in Spain is a combination of doing and not doing; activity and inactivity; stimulation and relaxation. A typical day will include morning yoga, daily healthy meals, meditation, fitness activities such as hikes or training and relaxation time. There are no strict schedules or food restrictions- we promote health and happiness for YOU.
What is the food like?
All meals are included in the Retreat, with the exception of beverages. Enjoy a buffet breakfast featuring fresh options with the choice of a warm item, a buffet lunch of vibrant salads, soups, and nourishing warm sides, and a three-course dinner with a selection of wholesome dishes.
Every meal is thoughtfully crafted with fresh, whole-food ingredients to support nutrition, wellbeing, and optimal health. Gluten-free, lactose-free, and vegan diets are accommodated at no extra cost. If you have any allergies or intolerances please contact our team beforehand to make arrangements.
A Nutritional Consultation can be booked with our Wellness Team which includes a health assessment, a review of your eating habits, allergies and intolerances, and personalised meal planning tailored to your daily lifestyle.
Is it normal to travel alone?
It is common to travel alone at a Wellness Retreat. Many of our return guests choose to come alone as it is their private sanctuary away.
The beauty of Shanti-Som is that everyone is welcome and can feel comfortable whether you be- woman or man, solo or a couple, fit or unit, experienced Yogi or beginner. Whatever your situation or experience, it is wholly accepted and welcome once you step into our doors.
