The program includes Gestalt awareness practices, along with a blend of didactic teaching and experiential exercises. Each participant will also have an individual “open seat” session with Dorothy, supported by the group.

Dorothy Charles has studied and taught at Esalen since 1982. As a student of Esalen co-founder Richard Price, she brings together Esalen body-centered Gestalt and relational Gestalt theory, and teaches workshops across Asia, Europe, and the United States.

Summer Groovers will experience Esalen in a format similar to our Self Guided Explorations workshops. Each Summer Groove week or weekend opens and closes with a circle, and features festive, nostalgic activities inspired by days gone by.
