We invite you to take part in an extraordinary 8-day pilgrimage to the Q'ero Nation, where you will live within the community and learn directly from Q'ero Andean elder shamans, often called the “Keepers of The Key.” This Native and Paqos community, regarded as the last descendants of the Inca high priests lineage, has preserved its ancient teachings, sacred codes, and Inca spiritual cosmovision for centuries.
At 4,800 meters, as you journey above the clouds, you will witness the striking beauty and power of Pachamama through rivers, lakes, mystical Apus, and clear star-filled nights. The Q'eros honor nature through sacred offerings, and by taking part in this ritual, you will encounter a profound sense of respect and humbleness.
This is a truly rare experience, as the Q'eros are not easily accessible. Thanks to the support they receive through social activities, they open their doors once a year and welcome us to their village to share their knowledge and way of life. A respectful, non-invasive attitude is essential when entering their stone homes, sharing their food, and spending time in their sacred spaces, as we are guests and part of their family during the stay.
A pilgrimage always asks something of those who join it. Expect long treks at high altitude across the mountains. Weather is generally sunny during the day, but it can also be windy, cold, and rainy. At night, temperatures drop below 0°C (32°F). Accommodation is simple and close to nature, with no electricity, running water, cell service, or Internet. Sleeping bags will be provided for the small stone cabañas.
If you are a spiritual warrior in good health, this journey offers a return to basics, allowing you to step away from modern life and discover how peace, balance, and harmony with Mother Earth can exist with very little.
