This 8-day retreat is centered on the pain management pathway of the Eleusinia program, using psilocybin and DMT as practical, sustainable tools for relief. Created for people living with chronic pain, it combines guided psychedelic sessions with physical therapy and specialized support, helping guests develop long-term practices they can continue beyond the retreat.
All pricing is based on single occupancy. A second participant may be added to the room for a flat fee of $3,650, which includes all retreat activities and services. Airport transport is included.
Your journey begins with Eleusinia’s 10-point preparation checklist. Education is a core part of the process, with materials that explain the neuroscience and mechanisms behind these substances in clear detail. In addition to learning, guests are coached in neuroscience-based skills, techniques, and exercises designed to help them move through each session with greater confidence and clarity.
The retreat’s pain management focus is built around psilocybin’s potential to ease chronic pain through carefully guided macrodose experiences. Guests take part in two macrodose sessions, each intended to support comfort, safety, and skill in navigating these powerful states. Learning how to move through a macrodose experience with confidence is key to making long-term practice sustainable.
Recent studies suggest psilocybin may help reduce pain perception by interrupting habitual pain-processing pathways in the brain, while also easing inflammation connected to chronic conditions. These effects may be short-lived and cumulative, which is why ongoing maintenance can play an important role in maximizing benefit.
Beyond physical relief, psilocybin can shift perspective and create space for a new relationship with the body. At Eleusinia, sessions take place in the open gardens, where privacy, safety, and nature work together to support relaxation and insight.
Each macrodose session lasts 4 to 6 hours and is tailored to the individual. After the first experience, the team reviews intensity, physical sensations, and emotional tone in detail so the second session can be refined to fit each guest’s needs.
DMT offers a deeply psychedelic experience, often described through sensations and imagery that are difficult to put into words. As a non-specific amplifier, it can alter auditory, visual, emotional, and somatic perception in striking ways. While certain themes may repeat, each session is highly personal and often becomes an important reference point for pain management practice.
DMT is especially relevant for pain support because of its strong action on Sigma-1 receptors, which contributes to its anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective effects. These effects may help address inflammation and neural sensitivity linked to chronic pain, while also disrupting entrenched patterns in pain perception.
Because DMT cannot survive digestion, it is vaporized and inhaled rather than taken orally. This allows it to take effect within minutes, and facilitators guide each guest through the process to keep the experience smooth and approachable.
Sessions are held individually with two facilitators present. Each lasts about 10 to 15 minutes and is free from outside distractions. Though brief, these sessions are often among the most powerful parts of the retreat.
Integration helps guests make sense of psychedelic experiences that may feel dream-like, profound, confusing, or intense. The goal is to document, interpret, and carry forward the meaning of each session so it becomes part of a larger therapeutic journey rather than a passing impression.
Eleusinia’s approach is holistic, addressing psychological, spiritual, and somatic dimensions. After a macrodose session, practitioners offer personalized one-on-one integration to support reflection, memory, and meaning-making. These sessions can also be recorded for later review or shared with a therapist at home.
Research using fMRI shows similarities between meditation and psychedelic states. For many guests, psychedelics make meditation and breathwork feel more accessible, especially when chronic pain has made concentration difficult.
During sessions, meditation and breathwork act as grounding anchors. Practicing before and after macrodose work helps guests reconnect with the states revealed through the retreat, strengthening tools for managing discomfort and building resilience over time.
For guests who want to continue their practice after the retreat, the mushroom cultivation course offers practical knowledge and hands-on experience. It covers the full cultivation process, using accessible and legal supplies, and is designed to support safe, sustainable access after returning home.
This optional add-on class ($275) teaches how to extract DMT from legal, easy-to-source plant materials. Expanded with hands-on practice and purification techniques, it gives guests the knowledge and confidence to continue the work safely at home.
Physical therapy and bodywork are essential elements of the retreat, helping guests reconnect with the body through improved mobility, flexibility, comfort, and awareness. Paired with psychedelic sessions, these practices can support a more balanced relationship with the body and with pain itself.
A medical team is available on-site 24 hours a day throughout the retreat, offering attentive care and peace of mind. Retreats host approximately 10 participants, with a maximum of 14, creating an intimate and individually supported setting.
Guests receive 6 months of free access to an online community for past participants, with weekly support events and space to share progress, challenges, and personal insights. It is a continuing source of connection and encouragement after the retreat ends.
Guests arrive in the afternoon at Eleusinia’s private mountain estate by private shuttle from Mexico City. The day includes a welcome snack of tamales and champurrado, medical intake meetings, a neuroscience-based presentation on psychedelics, and a welcoming session with the curandera.
The first macrodose day begins with orientation, breathwork, and meditation, followed by a six-hour outdoor psilocybin experience in private garden spaces. The rest of the day is reserved for quiet rest and recovery.
This day includes DMT education and vaporization coaching, a private DMT session, integration, a massage, and a group meditation class. The first part of the mushroom cultivation class takes place before dinner.
Guests enjoy a slower day with optional IV therapy, one-on-one integration, and an afternoon TRE class. In the evening, the mushroom cultivation workshop continues, followed by Dinner in the Dark.
The day begins with the first part of the DMT extraction class, followed by a second, more personalized DMT session. In the afternoon, guests take part in a Temascal ceremony and unwind in the fireside indoor pool.
The second macrodose session builds on the first, allowing guests to refine dosage and intention. The experience is followed by nourishing food and time for reflection.
Guests may choose local excursions or remain onsite for a third DMT session if enrolled in the extraction class. The afternoon includes a psilocybin minidose with breathwork and meditation, ending with a cacao ceremony after dinner.
Breakfast is served at 8:00 AM, followed by a 9:30 AM shuttle departure back to Mexico City.
