Explore a unique workshop that brings together ancient Chinese concepts of qi, modern energy theory, and practical methods for personal transformation. The session begins with an introduction to the universe’s original subtle energy state, described in Chinese as primordial qi or shen, and compared by physicist William Tiller to a “special unitary” symmetry state. From there, the discussion moves into the more familiar energy of everyday life, where matter takes shape and qi flows through the natural rhythms of the physical world.
Within the human body, qi is understood to move in two primary ways. The first is zhengqi, or “proper qi,” a smooth and balanced flow associated with physical health, emotional steadiness, mental clarity, social ease, and openness to spirit. The second is xieqi, or “wayward qi,” which is disrupted, excessive, depleted, or blocked. This imbalance can show up as physical discomfort, emotional strain, mental blockage, and strained relationships, while also limiting connection to a deeper spiritual level.
The workshop also looks at how these patterns are formed over time. From birth onward, people are shaped by environment, relationships, nutrition, exercise, personal experience, and cultural conditioning. Through repeated experience, the conscious mind, subconscious habits, and bodily responses begin to work together, creating long-standing patterns in how we think, feel, and react. These may be helpful, like learning to ride a bike or drive a car, or they may become limiting emotional and relationship habits formed long ago, often in childhood.
A key focus of the session is understanding how these learned patterns influence wellbeing. When they support zhengqi, the cells remain in a state of growth, renewal, and active exchange. When they do not, the body shifts into protection, which can contribute to stress, emotional upheaval, social difficulty, and over time, chronic illness. The workshop emphasizes that unwanted physical symptoms, tense thoughts, negative emotions, and dysfunctional relationships may all be part of this pattern.
Participants will learn a step-by-step process for releasing unhelpful patterns. The method begins with conscious awareness and recognition of what no longer serves. It then explores the effect on the body and the origins of the pattern through muscle testing, a technique used to communicate directly with the body. Finally, audio guidance and visualization are used to work with the subconscious mind and support release.
The approach is called Core Health. According to the teaching, the energetic shift happens immediately, while mental and physical changes unfold over the following weeks as the body adapts to a new pattern structure.
